A legendary journey from Port-au-Prince to the world stage
Born in Port Au Prince, Haiti in 1954. Harry at age 15 started his singing career in a local band in his small community. It only took a few years before Harry became a household name in the small city where he once lived in Port au Prince, Haiti. At the age of 15, Harry was the front man of one of the most successful bands in Haiti name the "Vikings" after three years as their front-man Harry went on to join the "Combo Negro" another powerful band who was a great success on the small island. In 1974, Harry enters the United States of America. In 1975, Harry joined the group "Clinik" then the group "Tap Tap". After the breakdown of Clink and Tap Tap, Harry set sail on his own producing, writing and singing as a solo artist with three successful albums, in compas.
In 1999 Harry entered a new phase in his music career. Harry entered in the American field. Harry started working on a double project, one a compas album, and a mix album of calypso, Reggae and R&B. Harry has been the backbone of his project as the lead vocalist, songwriter and a co-producer on all of his projects. As a veteran of the business, Harry has had great success in the Haitian market with previous records.
The name Harry Brice has been a household name for the Haitian people for the past decade as one of Haiti's top sold male vocalists. Harry has performed all over New York, Miami, and Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Harry has performed at Brooklyn College on more than 4 occasions, at the James L. Knight Center, Carnegie Hall, New York Technical College, Joseph Caleb Center, and Spirit.
Harry's musical biography up to this point is nothing close to what he envisioned in the American market as an artist. Harry is currently working on a 15 song project titled "This one is for You". Harry as an eager songwriter and performer strives on criticism and suggestion to better himself.
In 1999 Harry Brice collaborated with songwriter, producer and singer, Jimmy Joan-Philippe and since has been great partners in the music business. The pair has recorded numerous ballads together and has shared inspiration on a few songs together.
Harry Brice stands at 5'6, with brown eyes, dark hair, and fair brown skin. Harry enjoys songwriting, singing and producing. Harry's hobbies include jogging, writing, and exercising.
